創辦文藻外語大學的天主教聖吳甦樂會於1922年抵華，以教育、醫療、撫孤、恤貧為主要的福傳領域；1958年該會來台創辦海星中小學、文藻等教育機構，承傳其教育使徒的福傳使命。
聖吳甦樂會為聖安琪梅芝在1535年創立，其聖德、靈修、人格特質，以及對公共事務的參與，在世時即被尊為【活聖人】，她創立的團體在近五百年來演變為具默觀性質的使徒團體，特別在女性的自我認同及教育工作上被視為前驅者。
1639年，聖吳甦樂會的法國會士聖瑪莉閨雅矢志成為傳教士，遠赴加拿大魁北克創立該地的聖吳甦樂會會院。
1922年7月22日，聖吳甦樂會加拿大史丹地會院的三位傳教士遠渡重洋抵達中國汕頭，開啟了聖吳甦樂會在華人地區的福傳篇章，迄今（1922年）正好一百年整。
本特展中已泛黃模糊的諸多老照片，企望可以管窺這百年篳路藍縷的辛勤與一路盛開的繁花。
Ursuline missionaries arrived in China in 1922 to care for the disadvantaged in education, the sick, the orphans, and the poor as their missions. In 1958 they arrived in Taiwan and established institutions such as Stella Maris Ursuline High School, St. Joseph Primary School and Wenzao College.
The Order of Saint Ursula was established in 1535 by Saint Angela Merici, who was honored in life as “Santa Viva” for her virtues, spirituality, character, and participation in civic life. For 500 years, her Company has been regarded a religious group with inward-looking consecration, pioneering women’s self-recognition and education.
In 1639, Mother Marie of the Incarnation, a French Ursuline missionary, went to Quebec, Canada and established a monastery.
On July 22, 1922 three Ursuline missionaries from Canada arrived in Shantow, China, and started preaching their first chapter in the Chinese communities, exactly 100 years ago.
